RURAL

There has been little rural sales activity in the general Warkworth area, mainly because there are now few farms left.  Further north there has been an increased interest and sales of dairy farms, obviously because of the buoyant nature of the industry.  We are even noting further tentative enquiry from prospective business purchasers of rural land of all kinds.  There have been several sales of forestry blocks but mostly from Whangarei north and in some instances the prices encouraged and enhanced by Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) incentives.
